Cowboys vs. Giants Pick
Will Eli Manning and the Giants hand the Cowboys their first loss of the season when the NFC East rivals clash at 4:25PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cowboys are 1-point home underdogs for this afternoon’s game while the over/under currently sits at 46 points. Both the side and the total have moved off the original numbers, as the Cowboys went from -3.5 to +1 with the injury to Tony Romo and the over/under went from 49 down to 46 (again, following the preseason injury to Romo).
Ben McAdoo takes over for Tom Coughlin but the Giants’ offense will remain the same after McAdoo spent the last couple of years as the team’s offensive coordinator. Manning is back and he has a slew of weapons at his disposal in the passing game, led by Odell Beckham Jr. and rookie Sterling Shepard. The Giants hope they made their most strides on defense following the acquisitions of Janoris Jenkins and Olivier Vernon.
Dak Prescott will step in for the injured Romo after he made headlines for his strong play this preseason. He’s joined by a star-studded offense, led by Dez Bryant and rookie first-rounder Ezekiel Elliott. Defensively, Dallas will struggle to find a pass-rush and the team will likely have to win shootouts all season if they hope to make the playoffs.

OUR PICK: The Giants are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games in September while the Cowboys are 10-25-1 against the number in their last 36 home games. The Giants are also 5-2 at the betting window in their last seven games in Dallas and while Prescott was excellent this offseason, it’s a lot to ask a rookie fourth-round pick to keep pace with a two-time Super Bowl champion in Manning in his first game. This is likely to be a high-scoring affair, so take the veteran signal-caller over the rook.
