OUR PREDICTION: Many are expecting this to be a high-scoring affair because the Patriots re-loaded offensively this offseason, adding deep threat Brandin Cooks as well as a bevy of running backs. That said, the Chiefs continue to be methodical on offense with Alex Smith under center and both of these defenses should finish in the top-15 this season. The under is also 9-4 in the Chiefs’ last 13 games dating back to last season and is 4-1 in the Patriots’ last five games in Week 1. I think the total has been set too high in this matchup.

NFL PRESEASON PREDICTION: CHIEFS/PATRIOTS UNDER 48.5
