Browns vs. Eagles Prediction
With the Browns and Eagles both breaking in new quarterbacks this season, will Sunday’s game in Philadelphia be low-scoring at 1:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Eagles are a 4-point home favorite versus the Browns while the over/under is sitting at 41 points. The biggest movement in this game has come from the over/under, as the total opened at 45 but has dropped all the way down to 41 points.
Robert Griffin III will make his debut for the Browns on Sunday after the team signed him to a free agent deal this offseason. He showed some promise in Hue Jackson’s offense this preseason and will have a new weapon to throw to in first-rounder Cory Coleman from Baylor. Receiver Josh Gordon is suspended for Sunday.
As for the Eagles, they’ll have a new quarterback as well after trading starter Sam Bradford to the Vikings for first and fourth-round picks last week. That opened the door for rookie Carson Wentz to make his NFL regular-season debut for the Eagles after the team traded up to the No. 2 overall pick in order to select him from North Dakota State.

OUR EARLY PREDICTION: Both offenses could struggle on Sunday but it’s not as if the defenses of these two teams will be dominant at any point this season. Jackson wants to run the ball effectively and put RGIII in manageable situations, but that doesn’t mean that the Browns’ scoring will be suppressed. The same notion applies to Wentz, who no doubt will have a paired-down playbook for his first professional game, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be able to move the ball. The over is 6-0 in the Browns’ last six games in September and 6-1 in the Eagles’ last seven games overall.
