NFL Week 12 Injury Report
There are some big names on the Injury Report for Week 12 of the NFL Season. Here is a closer look at the players that are out today.
The Atlanta Falcons are set to be without their lead running back again today as Devonta Freeman will sit out due to a concussion. Atlanta is set to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today at 1PM ET. Oddsmakers are listing the Falcons as a 10-point favorite at home despite being without Freeman. Freeman missed last week’s game in Seattle as well. He is the team’s leading rusher with 515 yards and five touchdowns while also catching 19 passes for 137 yards. With Freeman out, Tevin Coleman takes over in the backfield. He has run for 442 yards on 103 carries this season and also has three touchdowns.
Another notable player that will be out today is Jay Cutler, the quarterback of the Dolphins. He is also dealing with a concussion as the Dolphins are set to make the tough road trip against the New England Patriots today at 1PM ET. According to oddsmakers, the Patriots are heavily favored at home, as they are getting odds of -16.5 points against the Dolphins. Cutler has thrown for 1,602 yards with 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions. His loss may not mean too much for an offense that has struggled all season. Matt Moore takes over in his place. He has thrown for 646 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions in limited action this season.
One big injury on defense is Jacksonville cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who suffered an injured hand in Friday’s practice and he says he will not be able to play today against the Arizona Cardinals at 4:25PM ET. Oddsmakers have the Jaguars as a 5-point favorite on the road against the Cardinals. The second-year cornerback has been great in the secondary for the Jags, as he has 36 tackles with 14 pass deflections and two interceptions. With Ramsey out, that could open up the Arizona passing game.
