NFL Week 13 Predictions: Washington Redskins vs. Arizona Cardinals 12/4/16

Redskins vs. Cardinals Prediction

Will the Redskins pull off the upset today in Arizona or will the Cardinals snap out of their current funk with a victory?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cardinals are 2.5-point home favorites versus the Redskins while the over/under currently sits at 48.5 points. While the point spread hasn’t moved in this matchup, the total has gone from 50.5 up to 48.5.

REDSKINS KEY TRENDS: The Redskins are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games overall, are 7-1 against the number in their last eight road games and are 5-0 at the betting window in their last five games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game. They’re also 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous contest.

CARDINALS KEY TRENDS: Arizona has failed to cover the spread in all five of its last five games and is 3-10 against the number in its last 13 home games as well. The Cardinals have failed to cover in five of their last seven games coming off a loss and are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games versus a team with a winning road record as well.

OUR PREDICTION: The Cardinals have lost back-to-back games and have just one win in their last five contests but they’re not incapable of having a good game. If they can get their running game rolling with David Johnson then they can keep Kirk Cousins and the Redskins’ dynamic offense on the sidelines for stretches at a time. They’re banged up defensively right now but again, it all starts with their running game and controlling the clock. Bruce Arians isn’t going to allow his team just to quit on the rest of the season. I expect the Cardinals to play hard in front of their home crowd and get a victory.
