NFL Week 14 Picks: Will Dolphins’ offense rebound vs. Cardinals on Sunday?

Dolphins vs. Cardinals Pick

After they were held in check by the Ravens last weekend in Baltimore, will the Dolphins’ offense rebound on Sunday when they host the Cardinals?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Dolphins are 1-point home favorites over the Cardinals after opening as a 2.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 43.5 and that’s where it currently sits at the majority of online and Vegas sports books.

After losing back-to-back road games at Minnesota and Atlanta, respectively, the Cardinals rebounded with a 31-23 victory over the Redskins last Sunday at home. That win improved Arizona’s record to 5-6-1 and 4-8 against the spread, which are indications of the struggles that Bruce Arians’ squad has had this season. Injuries have ravaged the team on both sides and special teams play has been poor all season. Carson Palmer isn’t playing anywhere near the MVP-like performance that he did a year ago either.

The Dolphins were the hottest team in the league heading into Baltimore last Sunday but the Ravens put a halt to Miami’s six-game winning streak with a  38-6 blowout victory. That loss dropped the Dolphins’ record to 7-5 on the year and after they failed to cover as a 3.5-point underdog, their ATS record dropped to 6-6. Miami has now failed to cover in back-to-back games.

OUR PREDICTION: The over is a perfect 7-0 in the Cardinals’ last seven road games and is 4-1 in their last five games overall. The over is also 5-1 in the Dolphins’ last six games, is 5-1 in their last six home games, and is 10-3 in their last 13 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous contest. The over has also cashed in four of the last five meetings between these two teams.
