Who We Like: Seattle. Jacksonville’s defense is historically good this season but this is the time of year to ride the Seahawks. They’re 20-6-1 against the spread in their last 27 games played in the month of December and are coming off an impressive takedown of one of the best teams in the NFC (the Eagles). Seattle is also 3-0-1 against the number in its last four road games, is 5-1 against the spread in its last six games played in Week 14, and is 5-2 ATS in its last seven games with a winning record.
Leonard Fournette still isn’t 100% and if he struggles, the blue print for a Seahawks’ victory is simple: Seattle stuffs the run and forces Blake Bortles to beat them. He won’t be able to and even though the Jaguars’ defense has been great all year, Russell Wilson will wear them down eventually. In a pivotal matchup between two potential playoff teams, I’ll side with Wilson, Doug Baldwin, Earl Thomas, Bobby Wagner and Michael Bennett.
