NFL Week 16 Betting Recap

If you had the under this week in the NFL, chances are you cashed. But if you laid the number with the Eagles on Monday night, you suffered a horrible beat.

Honestly, if you watched the Oakland-Philadelphia game on Monday night and laid the 10 points on the home favorite, then you didn’t feel good about cashing. The Eagles got the scoring started early with a touchdown on their second drive but the score was tied 7-7 at halftime. Nick Foles played like garbage in the second half but Philly was set to escape the game with a late field goal, all the while leaving Eagles bettors out to dry.

Then the improbable happened. Philadelphia scored a miracle touchdown on a botched Oakland lateral in the closing seconds. The Eagles were walking towards midfield to shake hands but were halted because they were required to attempt the extra point. A successful extra point would have given Eagles backers at least a push with a 10-point victory. Only Doug Pederson called for a kneel down instead of attempting the kick.

Final score: Eagles 19, Raiders 10. Merry Christmas, Philly backers.

Bet NFL Week 17 Games

As previously mentioned, if you bet the under all NFL weekend you cashed big. Both games on Saturday fell under the total, as the Ravens beat the Colts 23-16 and the Vikings shut out the Packers 16-0. Out of 16 games played this weekend, the under hit 13 times, including in both games played on Christmas Day/night. That’s remarkable.

After weeks of dominating, the favorites have somewhat come back down to earth although they still did well. In the 16 games played this weekend, the favorites covered eight times with one push (Chargers-Jets). Some big favorites covered too, as the Chiefs beat the Dolphins 29-13 as an 11-point home favorite, the Patriots beat the Bills 37-16 as an 11-point favorite, the Vikings covered as 9-point road favorite in Green Bay on Saturday night, and Pittsburgh covered as a 9-point road favorite against Houston in a 34-6 win
