With playoff spots and position still up for grabs, here’s a look at the betting odds for Week 17 in the NFL.
Jets at Bills, 1:00PM ET, Sunday
One of the most intriguing matchups in Week 17 will occur in the AFC East when the Bills host the Jets on Sunday afternoon. With their win over the Patriots in Week 16, coupled with the Steelers’ shocking loss to the Ravens, all the Jets have to do to secure a wild card berth in the AFC is beat the Bills this weekend. But even with Buffalo eliminated from postseason contention, the Bills will be highly motivated to hand their rivals a loss and give Rex Ryan a season sweep over his former team. According to oddsmakers from online sports book RealBet.eu, the Jets are currently 3-point road favorites over the Bills after the line opened at New York -1.5.
Steelers at Browns, 1:00PM ET, Sunday
Speaking of the Steelers, they no longer control their own destiny following the aforementioned loss to the Ravens on Sunday. Now Pittsburgh needs to beat Cleveland and have the Jets lose in Buffalo in order to clinch the final spot in the AFC playoff race. Just like they were in Baltimore, the Steelers are 10-point road favorites versus the Browns while the over/under is sitting at 47 points.
Vikings at Packers, 1:00PM ET, Sunday
The NFC North crown will be on the line when the Vikings seek revenge on the Packers on Sunday afternoon. Green Bay defeated Minnesota 30-13 on November 22 and thus currently hold the tie-breaker edge over the Vikings for the division led. Whichever team wins on Sunday at Lambeau will win the NFC North and clinch the third seed in the NFC playoff race, while the loser will have to go on the road in the wild card round. Even though the Packers are coming off an embarrassing 38-8 loss to the Cardinals in Week 16 and the Vikings throttled the Giants 49-17, Minnesota is currently a 3-point road underdog for Sunday’s matchup in Green Bay.
