Sunday’s NFL action concludes tonight at 8:30PM ET when the Minnesota Vikings host the Green Bay Packers on NBC.
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Packers come into this game as a slight favorite. Green Bay is getting odds of -1 point against the Vikings, while the over/under total for the contest is listed at 42 points. The home team has won three straight in this series and the Vikings have covered the spread in two of the last three against the Packers.
Minnesota got the season started with a 25-16 win over the Titans in Tennessee last week. The Vikings covered the 2.5-point spread and hit the over of 40 points despite being without Teddy Bridgewater. Minnesota didn’t score an offensive touchdown in the win, scoring two times on defense while forcing the Titans into three turnovers for the game. Shaun Hill got the start last week and was 18 of 33 passing for 236 yards, but Sam Bradford is expected to make his debut with the team this week after being traded for just a few weeks ago. One concern for the Vikings is Adrian Peterson, who was held to 31 rushing yards on 19 carries against the Titans.

The Packers went on the road last week and got a 27-23 win over the Jaguars. Green Bay narrowly covered the 3.5-point spread in the win while also hitting the over of 47 points. Despite having Jordy Nelson back in the lineup, the Packers still struggled on offense last week, putting up just 294 yards. Aaron Rodgers threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns on 20 of 34 passing to lead the team to the win. Eddie Lacy rushed for a team-high 61 yards on 14 carries. Defensively, Green Bay gave up 300 passing yards to the Jags last week, but held Jacksonville to 48 rushing yards on 26 attempts.
