Saints vs. Giants Prediction
Will today’s matchup between the Saints and Giants fly over the total at 1:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Giants are 4.5-point home favorites versus the Saints while the over/under currently sits at 54 points. Both the side and the total have moved off the original number, with New York going from -5 to -4.5, while the total went from 52 up to 54.
Latest on the Saints…
It was revealed earlier this week that Pete Carmichael was the one who called the Saints’ plays in Week 1, not head coach Sean Payton as in years prior. New Orleans racked up 507 yards and 34 points in its loss to Oakland so obviously Carmichael didn’t represent a downgrade from Payton. Too bad Carmichael wasn’t the answer to fix what ails the Saints’ horrendous defense.
Latest on the Giants…
Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is questionable for today due to a shoulder injury. He returned to practice on Friday but was limited. “We’ll take a look at him tomorrow,” coach Ben McAdoo said. “He’ll have an opportunity to get out on the field tomorrow at practice and we’ll go from there. We’ll see how he feels — how he wakes up the next day and recovers.”

OUR PICK: The Saints are the perfect ‘over’ team thanks to an explosive offense and a defense that figures to be a sieve again for yet another season. With Pierre-Paul out, the Giants could have a difficult time keeping Drew Brees’ and Co. in check as well, so look for this game to be high-scoring. The over is a perfect 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams. Make it 5-0 after today.
