New York Jets Betting Trends

The Jets have failed to cover in six of their last eight road games and are 1-4 against the number in their last five games played in the month of September. They’re also winless at 0-5 at the betting window in their last five road games versus a team with a winning home record.

Oakland Raiders Betting Trends

The Raiders have covered the spread in five of their last six games played in the month of September and are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games played at home. They’re also 7-3 at the betting window in their last 10 games versus AFC opponents.

OUR PREDICTION: As I often mention in my college football predictions, I like to take underdogs that I know are at least going to be competitive. That doesn’t describe the Jets, however. They have zero redeeming qualities and will be in the running for next year’s No. 1 pick throughout all of 2017. The Raiders are at home, seemingly have an improved defense, and a new-look running game thanks to Marshawn Lynch. This should be a bloodbath today in Oakland.

NFL WEEK 2 PICK: OAKLAND RAIDERS -13.5
