Updated Week 2 NFL Betting Odds Report
Will the rest of Week 2 in the NFL be as mad as Thursday’s shootout between the Jets and Bills? Here’s a look at the updated betting lines and total’s for this afternoon’s action.
What team is the biggest favorite in Week 2?
The Cardinals’ season opener vs. New England didn’t exactly go according to plan. Despite missing Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and a host of other key contributors, the Pats went into the desert and pulled out a 23-21 triumph. Online sports book BetDSI fully expects Arizona to take out its frustration on Tampa Bay in a few hours, listing the defending NFC West champion as a 7-point favorite. The Buccaneers did secure an impressive road victory in their 2016 debut. Clearly, though, the expectation is that Jameis Winston won’t be able to muster a second straight four-touchdown effort.
What’s the smallest point spread in Week 2?
NRG Stadium provides the setting for what could be a potential playoff preview. Kansas City travels to Houston for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff in a contest that has bettors torn. As of this writing, the host squad sits as a 1-point favorite. It previously handled Chicago, 24-13, although coach Bill O’Brien wasn’t particularly fond of the crispness of that affair. Andy Reid could’ve said the same thing about the Chiefs’ display vs. San Diego, at least until his troops rallied from a massive deficit to upend their AFC West rival. In any event, we’re looking at an absolute dandy in the Lone Star State.
What is the largest total in Week 2?
Those attending the Giants-Saints tilt are bound to witness more fireworks than a major Fourth of July Celebration. The over/under in New York is 54 and, considering the rate at which these two squads ambushed the scoreboard last week, the 60s almost seem guaranteed. Drew Brees and New Orleans dropped a 35-34 heartbreaker to Oakland, even though the quarterback threw for 423 yards and four touchdowns. Eli Manning wasn’t quite as much of a savage in the G-Men’s win over Dallas, but anytime Odell Beckham Jr. gets to face off with an uber-thin secondary, it’s cause for celebration.

What is the smallest total for Week 2?
The Rams’ offense looked as inept as ever in their 28-0 blanking at the hands of San Francisco. Meanwhile, Seattle needed a last-minute touchdown to overcome the Dolphins 12-10. Therefore, it comes as no grand surprise that the pair of NFC West foes are expected to max out at 37.5 points today. Can the Los Angeles O-line give Todd Gurley any additional room to operate? The star running back produced a disappointing 47 yards vs. the 49ers. As for the Seahawks, they’re hoping that Russell Wilson’s ankle issue doesn’t create long-term problems.
What contest has seen the biggest line movement?
We haven’t seen a ton of twists and turns over the past few days. Nonetheless, the San Fran-Carolina matchup seems to warrant your attention as the game inches closer. Where the Panthers opened as 11.5-point favorites, they’re now expected to prevail by two touchdowns. San Francisco is obviously receiving little respect after smacking down the hapless Rams. Neither Blaine Gabbert nor Carlos Hyde should enjoy close to the same level of success against a Carolina group that’s still seething following that Week 1 loss to the Broncos.
