Los Angeles Rams Betting Trends

The Rams are 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games, are 1-8 against the number in their last 10 games overall, and are winless at 0-8-1 at the betting window in their last nine games versus NFC opponents. They’re also 2-6 against the spread in their last eight Thursday game and are 1-6 against the number in their last seven games following a straight up loss.

San Francisco 49ers Betting Trends

The Niners are a perfect 4-0 against the spread in their last four games versus divisional opponents, but are just 1-7 at the betting window in their last eight home games. They’re also 4-10 against the number in their last 14 games coming off a loss, are 5-12 against the spread in their last 17 games overall, and are 4-9 at the betting window in their last 13 games versus a NFC opponent.

OUR PREDICTION: Jared Goff has a long ways to go before he turns into a quality quarterback, but he has shown growth under new coach Sean McVay (who actually knows what he’s doing on offense, unlike former Rams coach Jeff Fisher). Albeit, it was against a horrible Indy team in Week 1, but Goff did show signs of life. The same can’t be said for Brian Hoyer, who has the second-worst total QBR in the NFL, just ahead of Andy Dalton. Kyle Shanahan is a brilliant play-caller but he doesn’t have the quarterback to effectively run his system like he did in Atlanta. I don’t like betting road favorites in primetime, but I’ll make the exception tonight and fade Hoyer.
