Week 3 Public Betting

Another full Sunday of NFL action is set to get started in a few hours. Who does the public feel the best about for today’s action?

The team getting the most public support today is the Denver Broncos, who are going on the road to face the Buffalo Bills at 1PM ET. According the latest oddsmakers, Denver is a 3-point favorite on the road against Buffalo. Being a road favorite isn’t scaring the bettors, as the Broncos are getting 81 percent of the wagers in this game. This game features some concerns, though, as Denver is making their first road trip of 2017 and it is to the East Coast. Also, the Bills are 2-0 against the spread this season and Buffalo has covered in four straight meetings with Denver.

Another team getting heavy public support is the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steel Curtain is also on the road, taking on the Chicago Bears at 1PM ET. Oddsmakers are listing the Steelers as a heavy 7.5-point road favorite, yet 75 percent of the wagers on this game are going with Pittsburgh. The Steelers and Bears are both 1-1 against the spread. Pittsburgh is 0-1 ATS on the road while Chicago is 1-0 ATS at home. The Bears have also covered in three of their last four against the Steelers.

Bet on NFL Week 3 Odds

All of Sunday’s games have pretty lopsided voting, but the game that is most undecided is the Indianapolis Colts playing host to the Cleveland Browns. Oddsmakers actually have the Browns listed as a 1.5-point favorite on the road. The public is siding with the home underdog, as 59 percent of the wagers are going with the Colts. Cleveland has only been a road favorite nine times since 2003, and the Browns are 6-2-1 against the spread in those games. Still, the Colts covered last week at home as an underdog and Indy is 13-6 ATS as a home underdog since 2010.
