Updated Week 3 NFL Betting Odds Report
While the Patriots blew out the Texans in the first contest of Week 3, the rest of the NFL’s weekend slate looks packed with highly competitive affairs. Here’s a look at the updated betting lines and totals for this afternoon’s action.
What team is the biggest favorite?
The Seahawks haven’t looked like their usual selves so far in 2016, but that isn’t exactly scaring fans today. Oddsmakers at online sports book BetDSI list the NFC West heavyweights as 10.5-point favorites entering a 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff vs. San Francisco. Quarterback Russell Wilson continues to insist his ankle is fine. Still, something’s clearly off with respect to Seattle’s offense, which failed score a touchdown vs. Los Angeles a week ago. Will the 49ers provide a get-well card of sorts? We’re counting on it.

What’s the smallest point spread?
Tight contests litter the entire schedule. Nonetheless, San Diego-Indianapolis couldn’t possibly get any more even. The late-afternoon battle at Lucas Oil Stadium is currently categorized as a pick’em. Andrew Luck’s dinged-up status certainly adds to the intrigue here. Even though the Colts’ franchise player shouldn’t be hindered too much once 4:25 p.m. ET rolls around, he will have to operate without Donte Montcrief (fractured scapula). Meanwhile, the Chargers come off an impressive 38-14 triumph over Jacksonville.
What is the largest total in Week 3?
Luck and Philip Rivers are expected to light up the scoreboard in Indy, but their exploits may pale in comparison to tomorrow night’s Matt Ryan-Drew Brees shootout. Handicappers have set the Falcons-Saints over/under at 53.5. As usual, Brees finds himself torching opposing defenses. New Orleans’ lackluster supporting cast, however, is primarily to blame for the club’s 0-2 start. On the other side, Atlanta just pulled out a much-needed W over Oakland. Ryan’s lieutenants continue to him, as well, having posted a total of 59 points through eight quarters.
What is the smallest total for Week 3?
The Rams clearly know how to get the best of the Seahawks, but will Jeff Fisher’s squad ever reach the end zone. Entering today’s tilt vs. the Bucs, Los Angeles remains without a touchdown. Case Keenum actually racked up 239 passing yards on Richard Sherman & Co. Nonetheless, Todd Gurley’s continued ineffectiveness on the ground justifies the projected total of 41 at Raymond James Stadium. As for the hosts, they’re eager to shake off a 40-7 pounding at the hands of Arizona.
What contest has seen the biggest line movement?
Sam Bradford stole the spotlight from Aaron Rodgers in last Sunday night’s Vikings-Packers tussle. Now, the later trigger man merely hopes that his defense can hold up in another key NFC North clash. Injury-laden Green Bay opened as an 8.5-point favorite vs. Detroit, but Clay Matthews’ absence has suddenly taken that number down to 6.5. Rogers desperately needs his vertical threats to step up in this situation. Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson can claim but a combined 20 catches and 204 receiving yards so far.
