Bengals vs. Patriots Prediction
Are the Bengals a good underdog play today when they visit the Patriots at 1:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Patriots are now 7.5-point home favorites versus the Bengals after opening as an 8-point favorite. As for the total, the number currently sits at 47.5 points after opening at 47 earlier this week.
The Bengals have been a great road play, covering in nine of their last 11 games away from Cincinnati. They’re also 14-6-2 at the betting window in their last 22 games overall, are 11-5-1 against the number in their last 17 games versus AFC opponents, and are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games after failing to cover the previous week. That said, the Bengals are 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four games versus a team with a winning record.
The Patriots have covered in four of their last five games overall and are 6-1-1 at the betting window in their last eight games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game. They’re also 20-8-2 against the number in their last 30 home games and are 37-16-3 in their last 56 games played in the month of October.

OUR PREDICTION: The Bengals have lost their last two road games but they have not lost three straight on the road since 2010. That streak might end today but Cincinnati is still a good bet to cover. Rob Gronkowski, LeGarrette Blount (hip), Martellus Bennett (ankle) and Julian Edelman (foot) are all expected to play today but they’re banged up. I like the desperate Bengals to keep things relatively close today in Foxboro after they were embarrassed last Sunday in Dallas.
