NFL Week 6 Predictions: Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans 10/16/16

Colts vs. Texans Prediction

Will the Colts pull off a small upset when they visit the Texans tonight at 8:30PM ET on NFL Sunday Night Football?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Texans are 3-point home favorites versus the Colts after opening as a 3.5-point home favorite. As for the total, the number opened at 46 but has been bet up to 47.5 at most sports books.

Bet Tonight’s Colts vs. Texans Matchup

The Colts are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games and have failed to cover the number in four of their last five games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game as well. They’re also 4-10-2 at the betting window in their last 16 games played in Week 16.

The Texans are 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games and 5-2 against the number in their last seven games versus AFC opponents. That said, they have failed to cover in seven of their last 10 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous contest and are 1-5 ATS in their last six games in Week 6.

OUR PREDICTION: Despite the Colts’ issues, they’ve been a solid bet against AFC South competition, going 17-6-1 against the spread in their last 24 games versus the division. They’re also 5-1-1 at the betting window in their last seven games versus the Texans and the road team is 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings between these two teams. Brock Osweiler has been horrid this season and with tensions apparently building this week between him and head coach Bill O’Brien, this is a good spot to fade Houston.
