Who Oddsmakers Like: Denver. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Broncos are 1-point road favorites versus the Chargers, who opened as 2.5-point home underdogs. As for the total, the number hit the board at 42.5 but was bet down to 40.5 at the majority of online sports books.
Who the Public Likes: Denver. As of this writing, 70% of public bettors are laying the one point and taking the Broncos, who torched bettors a week ago by losing to the Giants as a double-digit home favorite on Sunday Night Football.
Who the Trends Like: Denver. The Broncos are 5-1 against the spread in their last six road games versus the Chargers while the road team is 10-3-2 against the number in the last 15 meetings between these two teams. The under is also a perfect 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams when the Chargers host the game.
Who We Like: Denver. The Broncos were embarrassed last week by the Giants but I expect them to come out sharp today, especially defensively. They were gauged by Orleans Darkwa and they know they have to slow down Melvin Gordon for fear of having another opponent take over the game on the ground. Trevor Siemian has been terrible the last three weeks but if they can take the ball out of his hands and run the ball effectively then they should leave L.A. with a win. The Chargers have played well, especially defensively the past few weeks. But I’ll roll the dice that the Broncos get back on track today.
