Packers vs. Falcons Prediction
Will today’s matchup between the Packers and Falcons result in a shootout in Atlanta at 4:25PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Falcons are now 3-point home favorites versus the Packers after opening as a 2.5-point favorite earlier this week. As for the total, the number currently sits at 52 after hitting the board at 52.5.
The Georgia Dome used to be a place where Matt Ryan couldn’t lose. But things have changed, as the Falcons have lost six of their last eight home games and are 1-2 on their home turf this season. They’ve also lost six straight games versus the NFC North and are just 16-16 over their last 32 games. Despite some impressive performances this season, the Falcons continue to be the model of inconsistency.
The Packers, meanwhile, have beaten the Falcons four straight times, including once in the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs back in 2010 when they eventually went on to beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl. The Packers also a perfect 4-0 when it scores 20 points or more this season and 0-2 when they score fewer than 20.

OUR PREDICTION: There’s no reason to bet the under in this one. The Falcons lead the NFL in scoring with 229 points and Ryan currently leads the league in passing yards with 2,348. With multiple defenders either out or questionable in Green Bay’s secondary, Julio Jones should have a field day for the Falcons. And with Atlanta’s defense resembling a sieve every week, Aaron Rodgers and Co. should light up the scoreboard as well. The over is 6-1 in the Falcons’ last seven games and is 10-3 in the Packers’ last 13 games coming off a win of more than 14 points.
