Titans vs. Chargers Prediction
Are the Chargers a good bet to cover as a slight home favorite or will the Titans prevail at 4:25PM ET today?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Chargers are 3.5-point home favorites versus the Titans after opening as a 4-point favorite earlier in the week. As for the total, the number currently sits at 46.5 after opening at 48.
The Titans are seeking to be above .500 after nine games for the first time since 2011. A win today in San Diego would match the Titans’ win total from the previous two seasons combined, which shows you how poorly Tennessee has played over the last two years. The Titans are also seeking back-to-back road wins in a single season for the first time since 2013. (They beat the Dolphins 30-17 in Miami on October 9.)
The Chargers are 9-1 in their last 10 meetings with the Titans, including playoffs. They’ve also won six straight games against San Diego, including the playoffs, with their last loss coming against the Houston Oilers, led by Warren Moon, in 1990.

OUR PREDICTION: The Titans have been a horrible bet in this series, going 0-8-1 against the spread in their last nine games versus the Chargers and 0-5 against the number in their last five games in San Diego. The home team is also 3-1-1 at the betting window in the last five meetings between these two teams while the favorite is 5-1-1 against the number in the last seven meetings. Thanks to rookie Joey Bosa, who has four sacks in his first four games, plus a defense that has forced a turnover in 14 straight games, the Chargers have been competitive nearly every week this season. They should handle a Tennessee team that will be playing on the road for the first time in four games.
