NFL Supercontest Top 5 Picks
With Sunday’s NFL action set to kick off in a couple of hours, here’s a look at the top 5 picks for Week 2 of the Westgate Las Vegas Supercontest.
As our 2016 Westgate Las Vegas Supercontest Week 2 page shows, the Seahawks were the most picked team to cover the spread this weekend in the NFL, receiving 541 votes. According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Seattle is currently a 6.5-point road favorite at the Los Angeles Rams, who were shut out 28-0 by the 49ers on Monday Night Football in Santa Clara.
The team that was picked to cover the spread the second-most behind the Seahawks were the Green Bay Packers, with 507 votes. The Packers are in Minnesota on Sunday night to take on the Vikings and are currently a 2-point road favorite. Sam Bradford is slated to start in place of Shaun Hill, who led the Vikings to a Week 1 win over the Titans. (Actually, Minnesota’s defense led the Vikings to a Week 1 win, but Hill did start.)
The Jaguars were chosen 426 times in Week 2, receiving the third-most votes this weekend. Despite losing to Green Bay last Sunday and failing to cover as a 4.5-point home underdog, bettors are backing Jacksonville as a 3-point road underdog versus the Chargers at 4:25PM ET today. The Chargers lost receiver Keenan Allen for the season after he injured his knee during last Sunday’s loss in Kansas City.

Speaking of Kansas City, the Chiefs are also in the top 5 for the Westgate Las Vegas Supercontest in Week 2, receiving 419 selections from contestants. After rallying to beat the Chargers in Week 1, the Chiefs are a 1-point road underdog versus the 1-0 Texans after opening as a 2-point dog. The Chiefs are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games versus the Texans in Houston.
Rounding out the top 5 in Week 2 is the Bengals, who are a 3.5-point road underdog versus the Steelers at 1:00PM ET on Sunday. The underdog is 3-1-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams but the Bengals are just 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games versus the Steelers. Contestants better hope Andy Dalton is on his game this afternoon.
