NFL Wild Card Injury Report Roundup
Before wagering on any of the NFL Wild Card action this weekend, you need to have an understanding of which teams are healthy and which are not. Here is an injury snap shot for every team playing this weekend.
Titans at Chiefs, 4:35 p.m. ET, Saturday
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Chiefs are now a 9-point favorite to beat the Titans, who opened as a 7-point underdog. Tennessee is one of the heathiest teams in the playoff field, although DeMarco Murray is out with a knee injury. (Derrick Henry has been better, so the loss of Murray could be marginalized.) Brice McCain (hamstring) and Logan Ryan (illness) are dealing with ailments but otherwise, Tennessee is healthy.
For the Chiefs, Eric Berry, Mitch MOrse and Dee Ford are all out and they have a slew of smaller injuries that could impact them on Saturday, including Jarvis Jenkins (knee), Albert Wilson (hamstring), Tampa Hali (knee), Bennie Logan (knee) and Rakeem Nunez-Roches (ankle). The team will need Jenkins, Hali and Nunez-Roches to slow down Tennessee’s rushing attack.
Bet NFL Wild Card Weekend Games
Falcons at Rams, 8:15 p.m. ET, Saturday
The Rams have jumped from -4.5 to -6.5 for their matchup Saturday night with the Falcons. For Atlanta, the team had to place guard Andy Levitre on I.R. with a triceps injury. Alex Mack (calf), Devonta Freeman (knee), Adrian Clayborn (calf), Julio Jones (rib, ankle) and Taylor Gabriel (hamstring) are all banged-up, but none of those players are expected to miss the game.
For the Rams, Cooper Kupp (knee) is probable and so is cornerback Troy Hill (concussion). Kayvon Webster (Achilles) and Greg Zuerlein (back) are both out for the year.
Bills at Jaguars, 1:05 p.m. ET, Sunday
Buffalo (+9) is dealing with the biggest injury of the weekend, as LeSean McCoy (questionable) could miss the game with an ankle injury. Jordan Miss (ankle) is probable while Shareece Wright (concussion) is questionable.
On the other side, Allen Robinson (knee) is out for the year while Marqise Lee (ankle), Cam Robinson (abdominal) and Marcedes Lewis (Ankle) are all questionable.
Panthers at Saints, 4:40 p.m. ET, Sunday
The Saints are now a 7-point home favorite for the final Wild Card game of the weekend. Trey Hendrickson (ankle) is probable for New Orleans while offensive tackle Terron Armstead (thing) is questionable.
For the underdog Panthers, they’ll have safety Kurt Coleman (ankle) and Jonathan Stewart (Groin) back after both players missed Week 17 against the Falcons. Trai Turner (concussion) is questionable. As of this writing, 55% of public bettors are backing the Saints to cover the spread in this matchup.
