Rams vs. Saints Pick
Usually games at the Superdome are high-scoring and exciting, but on Sunday will Rams vs. Saints be somewhat low-scoring at 1:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Saints are 7-point home favorites versus the Rams while the over/under currently sits at 45 points. Both the side and the total moved off the original numbers posted by oddsmakers, as New Orleans went from -6.5 up to -7 and the total went from 46 down to 45.
The Rams are coming off their sixth defeat of the season, losing in heartbreaking fashion to the Dolphins after leading the entire game. Miami scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to pull off a 14-10 come-from-behind victory to spoil No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff’s debut in the pros. The Rams also lost at the betting window for the fifth time this season and are now 4-5-1 against the spread in 2016.
The Saints’ rally last Thursday night in Charlotte fell short, as they lost 23-20 to the Panthers to watch their playoff hopes dwindle even more. They’re still in the NFC South race, but sit two games back of the Falcons, who beat the Saints earlier this year in New Orleans. The Saints have fared well at the betting window this season, however, and are 7-3 against the number in 2016, but just 2-3 ATS at home.

OUR PREDICTION: Most Saints’ home games sail over the total but the Rams can’t score and they play good defense, which leads to a lot of unders when L.A. plays. In fact, the under is now 5-0 in the Rams’ last five games in November and 7-1 in their last eight games following an ATS loss. The under is also 10-1 in the Rams’ last 11 road games versus a team with a losing home record and is 7-2 in their last nine games versus fellow NFC opponents. The Rams’ defense will keep the team in the game on Sunday but predictably Goff won’t be able to move the offense, even against a below-average Saints defense.
