Who the Trends Like: Pittsburgh and the under. The favorite is 3-0-1 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams. The Steelers are also 16-3-2 against the spread in their last 21 games in Cincinnati and 20-7-2 at the betting window in their last 29 games overall. The under, meanwhile, is 5-2 in the last seven meetings.
Who We Like: Pittsburgh. As the trends above suggest, the Steelers have absolutely dominated this series. They already beat the Bengals in Week 7, holding Cincinnati to 19 yards during the second half of a 29-14 thumping. They have the more talented team from top to bottom, although it is concerning that Antonio Brown is listed as questionable with a toe injury. If he’s out, things change a bit, but I’m assuming he’s playing.
As for the Bengals, they’ve won two games in a row but they’ve been out-gained in their last three contests. They’ve also been held under 225 passing yards in eight of their last 11 games and rushed for 86 or fewer yards in nine of their games. This is a 5-6 Cincinnati team that some believe could still make some noise in the AFC. I imagine that narrative will be squashed after tonight.
