Sunday Night Football Chiefs vs. Broncos Week 12 Predictions 11/27/16

Chiefs vs. Broncos Prediction

Can the Chiefs pull off the upset or at least cover as a small underdog tonight when they visit the Broncos at 8:30PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Broncos are a 3.5-point home favorite versus the Chiefs while the over/under currently sits at 39 points. While the point spread hasn’t moved off the original number of 3.5, the total opened at 40.5 before dropping to 39.

CHIEFS KEY TRENDS: The Chiefs are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games following an ATS loss, are 8-3 against the number in their last 11 road games, and are 5-2 against the number in their last seven games in November. That said, they’re just 3-8 at the betting window in their last 11 road games versus an opponent with a winning home record and are 0-6 against the spread in their last six games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.

BRONCOS KEY TRENDS: The Broncos are 6-1-1 against the spread in their last eight home games and have covered in eight of their last 10 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. They’re also just 6-2-1 against the spread in their last nine games following a win and are 9-3-1 against the spread in their last 13 games overall. The one area in which they’ve struggled at the betting window is against AFC West opponents, going 1-4 against the spread in their last five divisional games.

OUR PREDICTION: The underdog and the road team have dominated at the betting window in this series, as the dog is 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings and the road team is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings. This should be a field goal game in either direction. The Chiefs have the ability to dominate time of possession with a strong running game and they should be able to move the ball on the ground against a Denver defense that ranks 29th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game (123.7). The Chiefs lost young pass-rusher Dee Ford last week to a hamstring injury, but they could get back cornerback Marcus Peters (hip/questionable) after he was a limited participant in practice each day this week. If the Chiefs don’t win outright, they should be able to keep the game within a field goal.
