Sunday Night Football Cowboys vs. Giants NFL Week 14 Predictions 12/11/16

Cowboys vs. Giants Prediction

NFC East rivals clash tonight for Sunday Night Football when the Giants host the Cowboys at 8:30PM ET. Who covers?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Giants are now 3.5-point home underdogs versus the Cowboys while the over/under currently sits at 46.5 points. Dallas opened as a 3-point favorite before the line was bet up to 3.5, while the total opened at 47.5 and has been bet down to 46.5.

COWBOYS KEY TRENDS: Dallas has covered in five of its last six road games, although the Cowboys failed to cover last week as a slight favorite at Minnesota. They’ve also covered in nine of their last 11 games overall, are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games against NFC opponents and are 7-3 at the betting window in their last 10 road games versus an opponent with a winning home record.

GIANTS KEY TRENDS: New York is 4-0 against the spread in its last four home games versus a team with a winning road record and is 5-2-1 against the number in its last eight games overall. The Giants are also 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game and are 5-1 ATS in their last six games in Week 14.

OUR PREDICTION: The Cowboys are 0-4 against the spread in their last four games versus the Giants, who are the only team to beat Dallas this season. Granted, that win happened all the way back in Week 1 when Dak Prescott was starting his first professional game, but the Giants have nevertheless had success against the ‘Boys. New York’s back is against the wall and if the G-Men lose they hand the NFC East Division title to the Cowboys tonight. This should be a tight, close game that comes down to the wire and thus, I’ll take the hook with the home dog.
