Updated Super Bowl LI Odds
With Wildcard Weekend in the NFL kicking off on Saturday, let’s look at the updated Super Bowl odds for each of the remaining teams.
The Favorite: New England Patriots 8/5
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Patriots head into the 2017 playoffs with 8/5 odds to win Super Bowl LI, making them the favorites. Tom Brady and Co. finished the regular season with a 14-2 record and won by an average margin of 11.9 points per game. They also covered the spread in 13 of those 16 games by a +5.5 margin.
The Next-Best Odds: Dallas Cowboys 15/4
The team with the next-best odds to win it all are the Cowboys, who are 15/4 and listed right behind the Patriots. Dallas locked up the No. 1 seed in the NFC two weeks ago and finished with a 13-3 regular season record, winning by an average margin of 7.2 points per game. The Cowboys also had a winning ATS record at 10-6, covering by a +5.2 margin.

The Value Plays: Steelers (9/1), Falcons (19/2), Packers (19/2)
Pittsburgh has a three-headed monster on offense in the form of Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell, a trio that will give opponents fits in the playoffs. Atlanta, meanwhile, boasts one of the most explosive offenses in NFL history, led by MVP candidate Matt Ryan, matchup nightmare Julio Jones, and a two-headed beast at running back in Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman. Green Bay enters the playoffs as one of the league’s hottest teams, winning six straight to steal the NFC North Division from Detroit and earn a home playoff date with the Giants this weekend. The last time the Packers were this hot heading into the playoffs, Aaron Rodgers led the team to a Super Bowl victory in 2010-11.
Flawed But Capable: Chiefs (10/1), Seahawks (14/1), Giants (18/1)
The Chiefs are dangerous thanks to explosive rookie Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce, but Andy Reid and Alex Smith have often come up short in the playoffs. Plus, how healthy is Justin Houston? As for the Seahawks, their offensive line and running game are issues, plus they won’t have Earl Thomas (broken leg), the best safety in the league. That said, the one thing the Seahawks boast is playoff experience and the best homefield advantage in the NFL. The Giants, meanwhile, have the best defense of any team in the NFC and Eli Manning has two Super Bowl rings thanks to his red-hot play in the month of January. The offense as a whole, however, remains a major question mark. A year after terrorizing opponents, Ben McAdoo’s offense ranks 25th in total yards per game and 26th in scoring.
The Longshots: Dolphins, Lions, Texans, Raiders
The Matt Moore-led Dolphins are 90/1 to win the Super Bowl and will have to win in Pittsburgh this weekend just to set up a date with the Patriots in Foxboro the following week. As for the Lions (90/1), they lost three in a row down the stretch and needed a Giants’ win over the Redskins just to clinch a playoff berth. They’ll head to Seattle on Sunday and then would have to go to Dallas if they were to pull off an upset against the Seahawks. The Texans (90/1) and Raiders (115/1) both have quarterback problems but the two teams face each other this weekend, so one team will advance. That team is likely to have its season come to an abrupt halt the following week.
