Super Bowl LII Prop Bets Predictions for Patriots’ Danny Amendola 2/1/18

Danny Amendola SB Prop Predictions

Will Danny Amendola go over or under for bettors on Super Bowl Sunday when it comes to his receiving prop bets?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Patriots are 4.5-point favorites to beat the Eagles in Super Bowl LII. New England opened as a 6-point favorite at most online sportsbooks but the number has dropped steadily since. As for the total, the number hit the board at 47.5, went up to 48, but is back down to 47.5 at some books.

Despite being the underdog, the Eagles are receiving the majority of the backing from the public. As of Thursday morning, 55% of betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Eagles to cover the spread. Meanwhile, 61% of the betting tickets are on the over.

Bet Patriots vs. Eagles Super Bowl LII

Danny Amendola Total Receptions: Over 4.5

Amendola has be huge in the playoffs and there’s no reason to fade his production now. The Patriots are a rhythm-based offense and run a lot of option routes where Tom Brady needs to be in sync with his receivers. Based on the Pats’ first two postseason games, Brady and Amendola are in perfect harmony. He caught 11-of-13 targets for 112 yards against the Titans and then backed up that performance with a seven-catch, 84-yard, 2-touchdown effort versus the Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game. No reason to believe Amendola will slow down now.

Danny Amendola Total Receiving Yards: Over 54.5

See above. Granted, in his last five games, Amendola has only gone over that 54.5-point total twice: His last two games. Before those games against the Jaguars and Titans, he was held to 43 yards versus the Jets, 28 yards versus the Bills, and 23 yards against the Steelers. But if he’s peppered with targets again like he was the last two games, then he should go over the 54.5-yard mark.

Danny Amendola Longest Reception: Over 17.5

I’m all in on Amendola. In his last two games, he caught one pass for 25 yards (vs. Tennessee) and one pass for 21 yards (vs. Jacksonville). Thus, if I’m correct on the first two prop bets and he goes over for receptions and yardage, then he should be able to catch at least one pass for over 17.5 yards. Hopefully the Pats don’t decide that Sunday is the game they’re going to go away from Amendola but I don’t think that will be the case. The player I’d fade is Chris Hogan, who missed significant time during the regular season and is thus, off Brady’s radar at the moment.
