Who will score for Denver first?
Touchdowns haven’t been coming by the handful for the Denver Broncos heading into Super Bowl 50. But, if Denver is to score tonight, who will be the first to do so?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the latest odds for the game has the Carolina Panthers as a 4.5-point favorite against the Broncos tonight. The over/under total is currently listed at 44 points. These two meet tonight at 6:30PM ET on CBS.
When it comes to the odds for the first Denver touchdown, C.J. Anderson is the current favorite with +350 odds while Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders each have +400 odds. The odds of no Denver touchdowns in the game is listed at +1000.
Anderson is tied with Ronnie Hillman (+700) for the most touchdowns by Denver during the season at 7. Anderson has five rushing touchdowns and two receiving scores. He also has one touchdown in the postseason. Thomas and Sanders each have six receiving touchdowns this season, but neither has crossed the goal line in the playoffs.
One player to consider is tight end Owen Daniels, who has odds of +600 to get the first score. Daniels had both of Denver’s touchdowns in the AFC Championship and Peyton Manning certainly has a history with tight ends. Daniels had just three scores during the regular season, but they all came when Manning was the quarterback.
