Will Eagles vs. Redskins be a defensive struggle in Week 7 of the NFL?

Eagles vs. Redskins Pick

Will Sunday’s NFC East clash between the Eagles and Redskins be a defensive struggle in D.C.?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Redskins are now 2.5-point home underdogs to the Eagles after opening as 2-point dogs. The total, meanwhile, currently sits at 44.5 points after it opened at that same number earlier this week.

The Eagles lost for the first time in 2016 and under new coach Doug Pederson, falling 24-23 to the Lions as a 3.5-point road favorite in Week 5. A late fumble cost Philadelphia an opportunity to stay unbeaten on the year, although the Eagles remain 3-1 on the year and 3-1 against the spread. Their other victories and covers came against the Browns (-4), at the Bears (+3), and versus the Steelers (+3.5) in the first three weeks of the season.

After starting the year 0-2 the Redskins are rolling, picking up three consecutive wins to get to 3-2 on the year and 3-2 at the betting window. Washington’s defense and special teams did a great job in the team’s 16-10 win last Sunday in Baltimore. That was also the first game in which the Redskins played under the total in five games this season.
