Jay Bouwmeester “is doing very well at the UC Irvine Medical Center in Anaheim,” per Blues GM Doug Armstrong. “Jay is currently undergoing a battery of tests to determine the how and why of what happened last night, but things are looking very positive,” Armstrong added. Bouwmeester had a cardiac episode on the bench Tuesday night and a defibrillator was used after he became unresponsive. He regained consciousness immediately afterward. Armstrong thanked all the trainers and members of the medical staff for their quick response.

Marc-Andre Fleury allowed four goals on 20 shots in Tuesday’s 4-0 road loss against the Minnesota Wild. Fleury was yanked at the second intermission and replaced by Malcolm Subban. The backup stopped all five of the shots he faced in the final period, but the damage was done for the visitors. The Golden Knights return to T-Mobile Arena on Thursday night against the defending champion St. Louis Blues before hosting the New York Islanders on Saturday.
Our Prediction
Both of these teams have been cashing over tickets recently. The over is 3-1-2 in the Blues’ last six games overall, is 5-1-1 in their last seven road games and is 4-0 in their last four games as an underdog. Jordan Binnington has struggled of late and while Jake Allen might be back in net after not playing a full game on Tuesday, the defense in front of St. Louis’ nets has been shaky of late as well so the Blues’ goaltender doesn’t matter to me as much tonight. The over is 6-1 in the Golden Knights’ last seven home games, is 8-3-1 in their last 12 games as a favorite and is 7-2 in their last nine games playing on one day of rest.
