St. Louis Blues Fantasy Spin
Jake Allen allowed three goals on 31 shots in Saturday’s 4-3 shootout win against the Dallas Stars. Allen has won back-to-back starts for the first time since Dec. 18-21, and both of these wins came at the expense of the Stars. He improved to 10-6-3 with a 2.31 goals-against average and .922 save percentage across his 19 starts and 22 appearances overall. Despite the win he has minimal fantasy appeal as long as Jordan Binnington is healthy.
New York Rangers Fantasy Spin
Alexandar Georgiev will be in goal for Tuesday’s match against St. Louis. Georgiev is coming off a 5-2 loss to Philadelphia on Friday, which prevented him from picking up a third straight win. He has a 16-13-1 record this season with a 3.02 goals-against average and .912 save percentage in 31 games played
Our Prediction
The Blues have won seven straight but we saw the Golden Knights host the Kings on Sunday night with eight straight on the line and they were blasted. The home team is 5-2 in the last seven meetings between the Blues and Rangers and with New York playing well, I’m going to pass on the side and grab the total. The over is 7-3-1 in the Blues’ last 11 road games, is 9-4-1 in their last 14 games when facing an opponent with a winning record and is 5-1-1 in their last seven games playing on two days of rest. The over is also 4-0 in the rangers’ last four games overall, is 20-5-1 in their last 26 games when they’re an underdog and is 8-1 in their last nine games as a home dog.
Tuesday NHL Prediction: Blues/Rangers OVER 6
