Florida Panthers Fantasy Spin
Jonathan Huberdeau had one goal and one assist in Saturday’s 4-3 win over Los Angeles. Huberdeau picked up both points in the third period. He set up Evgenii Dadonov’s game-tying marker and scored what proved to be the game winner with just 1:56 remaining in regulation. Huberdeau has been hot lately with five goals and 11 points in his last five outings. He has amassed a personal best 76 points this season through 71 games.
Anaheim Ducks Fantasy Spin
Corey Perry seems fairly happy with how things have gone since he returned from knee surgery. “Just being able to be effective, be myself, be confident and knowing I can still go out there and still do the same things I’ve done in my career, and so far it’s gone all right,” Perry said. “I had no expectations.” He has just five goals and nine points in 22 contests this season, though five of those points were recorded in his last five contests. He’ll be someone to keep an eye on in 2019-20 as a potential bounce back candidate, but he’s a big risk given his underwhelming play in recent years.
Betting Trends
Florida
The Panthers are 4-1 in their last five games coming off a win and are 6-2 in their last eight games versus Western Conference opponents.
Anaheim
The Ducks are just 15-32 in their last 47 games when playing on one day of rest and are 1-4 in their last five games coming off a win.
Our Prediction
The Panthers have an opportunity tonight to match their longest winning streak of the season and should play loose after rallying for a pair of goals in the final six-and-a-half minutes of the third period to edge the Kings 4-3 on Saturday. This Florida team isn’t dead yet and has a ton of confidence, unlike the Ducks, who are 10-28 in their last 38 games overall. Anaheim is also 3-13 in its last 16 games versus the Eastern Conference and is 5-12 in its last 17 home games. This isn’t a bad price for a hot team playing a bad opponent.
Sunday NHL Prediction: Florida Panthers -116
