NHL Betting Notes: Flyers, Sabres slumping heading into Monday’s games

Time to fade the Flyers?

A pair of slumping teams will host games on Monday night in the NHL, as the Sabres host the Blues and the Flyers will take on the Hurricanes in Philadelphia.

Blues at Sabres, 7:00PM ET

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Sabres are +135 money line underdogs to upset the Blues (-160) tonight. Buffalo has dropped four straight games and has a point differential of -12, which is worst in the Atlantic. As for the Blues, they’re 7-3 in their last 10 road games.

Hurricanes at Flyers, 7:00PM ET

The Sabres aren’t the only team struggling to host a game tonight in the NHL, as the Flyers have lost three straight and will host the Hurricanes at Wells Fargo Center. Philadelphia is actually favored in this game, however, as the Flyers have -140 odds on the money line to knock off Carolina (+120). The Flyers are 2-11 in their last 13 games overall and winless at 0-6 in their last six home games. The Hurricanes aren’t playing much better, as they’re 1-5 in their last six games.

Predators at Rangers, 7:00PM ET

The game of the night is arguably in New York where the Rangers (-130) are favored over the Predators (+110). Nashville is struggling to win on the road, as the team is just 1-4 in its lat five road games. As for the Rangers, they’re 5-1 in their last six games versus Central opponents and 22-7 in their last 29 games versus Western Conference foes.
