Though both teams have been strong for some time, both are coming off seasons where they missed the playoffs. The Kings have won seven of their last nine against the Sharks and the two are 3-1-1 with the under in their last five meetings.
The final game of note today is a battle in Canada when the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Montreal Canadiens at 7PM ET. Oddsmakers have the Canadiens as a road favorite, giving Montreal a money line of -140 to win, while the Leafs have a money line of +130 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5 goals. Montreal lost in the second round of the playoffs last season, while Toronto missed the postseason, but added Mike Babcock as coach during the offseason. Montreal has won six straight against Toronto entering tonight and the two have hit the over in seven of their last nine meetings.
