The featured game of the day has the Chicago Blackhawks hosting the New York Rangers at 8PM ET. According to oddsmakers at GTBets, the Blackhawks are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -130 to win, while the Rangers are getting odds of +120 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5 runs. Chicago is the defending Stanley Cup champion while the Rangers lost in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Rangers have won three of their last four meetings with Chicago while the two have hit the under in four straight.

Another marquee game today has the Los Angeles Kings hosting the San Jose Sharks at 10:30PM ET. Oddsmakers have the Kings as a -155 favorite to win this game, while the Sharks are being given a money line of +140 to win. The over/under total has been set at 5 goals. Though both teams have been strong for some time, both are coming off seasons where they missed the playoffs. The Kings have won seven of their last nine against the Sharks and the two are 3-1-1 with the under in their last five meetings.

The final game of note today is a battle in Canada when the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Montreal Canadiens at 7PM ET. Oddsmakers have the Canadiens as a road favorite, giving Montreal a money line of -140 to win, while the Leafs have a money line of +130 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5 goals. Montreal lost in the second round of the playoffs last season, while Toronto missed the postseason, but added Mike Babcock as coach during the offseason. Montreal has won six straight against Toronto entering tonight and the two have hit the over in seven of their last nine meetings.
