NHL Predictions: Anaheim Ducks vs. Philadelphia Flyers? 10/24/17

Ducks vs. Flyers Pick

Will the Philadelphia Flyers hold off the Anaheim Ducks when the two meet up tonight at 7PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Flyers are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -140 to win, while the Ducks are being given a money line of +120 to win. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 5.5 goals. These two meet from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Ducks are coming off a 6-2 win over the Canadiens back on Oct. 20. They now make a trip out East with a 3-3-1 record overall and an 0-1 mark on the road. The Ducks are putting up 2.57 goals per game while allowing 2.71 per contest. Andrew Cogliano is leading the Ducks with six points this year. No Anaheim player has more than two goals. John Gibson has a 2.56 GAA with a .932 save percentage over seven games.

The Flyers are coming off a 2-1 win over the Oilers at home on Oct. 21. They are now 5-3 on the season and 3-1 at home. Philly is averaging 3.50 goals per game while allowing 2.25 per contest. Shayne Gostisbehere is leading the team with 11 points while Wayne Simmonds has a team-high six goals. Brian Elliott has a 2.80 GAA over five games with a .897 save percentage.

Bet on Ducks vs. Flyers

The Ducks have owned this series, winning eight of the last nine in this series. However, I don’t see things going their way tonight. Anaheim has had the luxury of being at home for most of the season thus far and is now making its first trip to the East. Philadelphia has gotten off to a nice start and their scoring ability should carry it tonight. The public is backing the Flyers tonight and I am with them.

NHL DAILY PREDICTION: PHILADELPHIA FLYERS -140
