NHL Predictions: Will Golden Knights take down Kings? 2/27/18

Kings vs. Golden Knights Pick

Are the Las Vegas Golden Knights going to be impressive again on their home ice tonight when they play the Los Angeles Kings at 10:30PM ET?

CURRENT ODDS

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Golden Knights are listed as a -170 favorite to win on the moneyline. The Kings are a +150 underdog, while the total is set at 6 goals.

LINE MOVEMENT

Las Vegas opened as a -175 favorite before the line dropped slightly, while the over-under has increased after opening at 5.5. The line can be found as low as -159 if you shop around, while the total is at 6 everywhere I see but there is more juice on the under at most books.

PUBLIC BETTING

As of Tuesday afternoon, 84 percent of public bets have sided with the Golden Knights. Online wager info also shows that 51 percent of bets ae coming in on the under.

INJURY TO WATCH

Kings center Trevor Lewis is questionable tonight with an upper body injury. For Las Vegas, defenseman Shea Theodore is questionable with an illness.

BETTING STRATEGY

The Golden Knights have won two of three meetings this season, including a 4-2 home win back on Nov. 19. Los Angeles won the last contest via a 3-2 overtime decision on its home ice last night. Typically, in a home-and-home series it seems to always end in a split which heavily favors Las Vegas. Additionally, the Golden Knights are a superb 24-5-1-1 on their home ice. It seems as though Las Vegas is the obvious play tonight, although anything can happen in pro sports.
