Tarasenko scores goal in Blues’ win

Blues’ star Vladimir Tarasenko started his preseason off on the right foot, scoring a goal and registering two assists in the team’s 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets on Sunday.

Tarasenko recorded his assists on goals by teammates Paul Stastny and Alex Steen, and scored on a power play in the second period. Tarasenko had 37 goals and 73 points in 77 games last season as the Blues made the playoffs. St. Louis was eventually knocked out by Minnesota in the first round, however.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Blues are 14/1 to win the 2016 Stanley Cup, which puts them behind a host of teams to win next season’s title. The Blackhawks, meanwhile, are 13/2 favorites to win it all while the Lightning are 8/1 and the Kings are 10/1.
