Despite his struggles this year as a starter, the Cowboys are sticking with Matt Cassel at quarterback.
Coach Jason Garrett confirmed on Monday that the team will still with the veteran Cassel when the Cowboys host the Jets on Sunday. It could get real ugly again for Cassel and Co., as the Jets shut down both Eli Manning and Marcus Mariota in back-to-back weeks. They also own the No. 1 run defense in the league, so it could be tough sledding for Darren McFadden as well.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cowboys are 3-point home underdogs versus the Jets at 1:00PM ET on Sunday. Dallas is currently 4-9 straight up and 4-9 against the spread, which includes at 1-5 ATS mark at home.
As for the Jets, they’re battling for one of the wild card spots in the AFC and are now 8-5 after winning back-to-back games. They’re 7-5-1 against the spread this season, which includes a 2-2 ATS road mark. They’re 5-4-1 against the spread in their last 10 games, whereas the Cowboys are just 3-7 ATS.
