Seahawks not expecting Marshawn Lynch to play vs. Steelers

The Seattle Seahawks could be without their starting running back for the second straight week.

Coach Pete Carroll doesn’t expect Marshawn Lynch to play in Week 12 when the Seahawks host the Steelers at 4:25PM ET. Lynch was held out of the Seahawks’ win last Sunday versus the 49ers as he continues to deal with an abdomen injury. He’s also expected to meet with Dr. William Meyers on Tuesday, where it will be determined if he needs sports-hernia surgery.

Undrafted rookie Thomas Rawls will continue to be the Seahawks’ starter at tailback with Lynch out. He rushed 30 times for 209 yards and a touchdown in Seattle’s 29-13 win over San Francisco last Sunday.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Seahawks are currently 4.5-point favorites over the Steelers for this weekend. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 45 points.
